Hello everyone,

I am seeking guidance on selecting the appropriate material construction method for nozzles flanges and flanges. I am unsure whether to choose forged or fabricated from plate for SA 182 904L/SA 240 GR.904L material. (operation temperature 82°C, operating pressure 2.2 bar)

Nozzles for what?
How many do you need to fabricate? The number will drive whether the cost of the forging tooling is economical.

Nozzles for a flash chamber and evaporator heat exchanger (flanges connexion).
we have 2 offers one for forged and other for unforged. (price of forged >> price of unforged)

I need to justify my choice (unforged flanges)

well, unforged is cheaper, so there you go. assuming the plate material properties meet the requirements.

As long as you follow the design, fabrication, and testing procedures it doesn't matter.
For just a few pieces the fabricated ones will make more sense.
