Dear Team,
I have received an enquiry in which the customer is looking for a relief valve for natural gas service. I have two options to choose for the spring which is chromium or Inconel x 725. Which one can handle the natural gas better?

Do you mean steel with chrome platting?
Is this merchant gas, such as in a pipeline for use or is this gas that needs to be processed?
The real question is what are the impurities.

There are manufacturers who have already answered your questions with suitable products. Go and ask one.

Dear gguliye,

Why bother only about the spring when the seat and trim are more important? 13Cr (F6) has been widely used for this purpose.
