Hello, All !

I am a new user with Abaqus 6.5 and would like to develop a model to verify the level of stresses before and after a ciclic loading ( with temperature and pressure on a pipe ). One case the level of loading will reach the yeld point ( local plastic strains ) and the second case this level will not reach the yeid point ( near but elastic, yet ).
My goal would be to analyse effects of residual stresses, relaxation stresses, etc.
Someone have had similar experience and could me indicate a tutorial or example to create this on Abaqus ?

Thanks.

I usually model cyclic loads by using amplitude curves:
Cyclic_load(time)=Load_magnitude*Amplitude(time)

what material modelling are you planing to use for the pipe?

Hello,

Thanks Xerf and Yoman.

This pipe model should be made in carbon steel.

If possible, please, send me a example, tutorial or an indication of paper with some similar cases to: frdominguez@ig.com.br
