In AutoCad 2005, if I have a dimensioned circle and change the diameter through the use of the properties dialog box, sometimes the dimension will automatically change to the new value and sometimes it doesn't change. Why? What is the setting that regulates this? DIMASO is on.

Sounds like maybe sometimes your dimension is associative and sometimes not. When the dimension does not change, select it and look at its properties to see if it is associative.

Options...user preferences...Make dimensions associative.

DIMASSOC is 2, DIMASO is on. When I select an unchanging dimension, its properties show that it is an associative dimension. Sometimes redraw corrects the dimension, sometimes not (on the same drawing).

It may not be snapped to the circle object. Is it dimensioning to intersections of the circle and some other object? Is it a paper space dimension and a model space circle?
