Hi,

I'm working with quite a complex opto-mechancial assembly with the optics imported from Zemax via an IGS file. I'm now trying to import the optics assembly into a larger mechanical assembly and get the message that my optics assembly contains two circular reference loops. I'm a bit new to ProE - what are these and how do I fix them? I can't see anything obviously wrong with my references but not sure what I'm looking for. Any thoughts?

Circular references are just that. Part A has a reference to Part B which has a reference to Part A.
Look in your start-in folder for a file that ends .crc. That will tell you which files have the circular references.

Hmm yes I'd found the file and seen the references. Now just need to work out how to fix them..... Cheers!

Use global reference viewer to help you on this one

(Info>- Global Reference Viewer)

Click the Filter Settings section (you will probably need to check both the Features and Components) and by expanding the main tree information you should find your circ. ref
