Hi,

Anyone experience with Citect SCADA software. Im planning to use it in a building automation project. The vendor says it (CitectFacilities) is compleatly free. I find this hard to belive. It seems to be such a complex and powerful software. Is this true?

Is it a good software?

Thanks!

Citect SCADA is most definitely not free. However most SCADA products of this type will run for a limited time without a license. After that time you usually have to shut them down and restart them.
Citect SCADA is an excellent plant management type of SCADA software. I don't think that it is really suitable for controlling substations or the like that require high data acquisition rates.
