Thanks Proletariat for your input on Transportation depth references. Any ideas on a great Civil Engineering dictionary? Is one needed?

There are a few civil engineering dictionaries available at the moment. You could try:

The Penguin Dictionary of Civil Engineering by David Blockley

The Wiley Dictionary of Civil Engineering and Construction by L. F. Webster

In answer to the second part of your question, yes one is needed. Give your copy to your secretary, if you're lucky enough to find such a person anymore, and ask him/her to keep it handy on a bookshelf you both have access to.

good luck
