Civil3D always started as AutoCAD

I recently ran into a problem. Whenever I tried to open Civil3D (from the short cut and start menu, it's always AutoCAD workspace that pops up no matter what I try).

Is there a solution to this? I am pretty sure Civil3D is properly installed on my computer with all the service packs updated.

You are opening it with the "as AutoCAD" profile. You need to edit that part out of the shortcut you're clicking on. Alternately, you can browse to the right profile in the Start Menu and turn that into a desktop shortcut...

Run the EXE file in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 20XX\, does it work?
