Hello,
Greeting of the day,
I am doing a vessel design with U-Stamp requirement. So, i have to strictly fallow ASME and i can not deviate anything from code. I am in the initial stage of design. Before starting, i want to confirm about my flange design.
1) In this vessel, flanges are with DIN standard of PN rating and also, it is having a lenticular ring joint facing flanges. My doubt is can i design a U-Stamp vessel with DIN flanges and having different facing other than availability in ASME App.2 facing list.
2) Where i can get the gasket factors
I discussed with my AI about vessel design with DIN flanges. He says, we have to run the flange calculation with ASME APP.2 non standard flange for all PN rating flanges and flange facing we have to compile with U-2(g) requirements.
Is this suggestion is OK or else i need to go by any alternative.
3) First, can we use din flanges in ASME
i am using PV ELite, it is purely based on ASME. Which software i can find the LENS facing flanges.
Your reply is needful.
Thanks in advance.
