I am designing a ball valve of 6" for class 4500 #.
Working condition:
Work pressure 11110psi
Test pressure 16660psi
I am looking for a standard to test this valve, the fluid that I will use in this valve will be Gas.

I would like to remind you that a Class 4500 valve is nothing to fool with. A valve this of this size an rating requires a lot input other than the mechanical design. One has to consider material compatibility, functional ability, and last but not least operator safety.
You mention gas I would hope this is a pure gas stream and nothing with H2 or H2S

Here are two specifications/standards that might help.

MSS
SP-61: "Pressure Testing of Steel Valves"
- Requirements and acceptance criteria for shell and seat closure pressure testing of
steel valves.
SP-25: "Standard Marking System for Valves, Fittings, Flanges, and Unions"
- Requirements for marking on nameplate and valve body.
SP-55: "Quality Standard for Steel Castings for Valves, Flanges and Fittings, and other piping components. - Visual
Methods"

ANSI
B16.34: “Valves - Flanged, Threaded, and Welding End”
- Design basis for all kinds of valves, including pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, materials,
and testing.
- Cast and forged flanged, threaded, and welding end valves.
- Class 150 thru Class 4500.

Here is there source.

Gonzo2004,
may be you'll find useful to duplicate this thread also in the "Valve Engineering Forum" (Forum408).
