Class II, Div I motors

Hi,

I am trying to educate myself a bit on Class II, Div I motors and Ex rated motors in general for USA or NEMA land.

Can I ask a few general questions.

Is Class II, Div I similar to Zone 22.
Can Class II, Div I motors be driven by VSDs
I presume the VSD cannot be installed in the field and insulated bearings from frame 280 or equivalent up are required.

And good dos explaining the do’s and don’ts and recommendations would be great. Thanks

It seems to me Zone 22 [IEC 60079-10] it is close to Class II div2 [NEC 502] Zone 20-21 it is similar to Class II Div.1.
