I am working in a refinery,
Looking for different grades of ferrous metal and their suitability with respect to temperature, pressure and material it can handle.
can anybody provide this information.

This a very broad question to answer. The two web sites below provide access to various Codes and Standards. For your specific area, the two Codes or Standards that are most applicable will be API (the American Petroleum Institute) and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section II and Section VIII).

The second link provides access to CASTI reference books that provide an excellent overview of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code - in your case, the CASTI book on Section VIII would be best.

The ASME B&PV Code contains reference to ASTM standards and provides maximum allowable stress values (and maximum service temperature) based on service temperature for certain types and grades of materials.

I am not sure about your third question regarding what material, the ferrous metals can handle. This requires some information on the type of chemical processes you are expected to deal with in service. Most Codes and Standards will not get into specific suitability for service conditions for materials. The designer must decide on final suitability for service based on engineering experience, and minimum code requirements.
