Good Day,

I would like to package a 30KW MicroTurbine Generator in a small skid and would like to place a fuel scrubber in the building as well. From what I gather the building would be designed as Class1 Div2 Group D.

I have been told in the past that I might be able to provide an arrangement such as this as a Non-Classified General Purpose Building for the following reasons.

1) The fuel gas supply pressure does not exceed 90psi and the flow rate is relatively low at 9600 SCFD.
2) The ventilation is being designed to accommodate 12 air changes per hour.
3) The microturbine generator is inverter based and considered a plug and play appliance.
4) In an ESD scenario the output contactor is opened and the fuel supply valve is closed. During routine stops the output contactor is opened.

Are there any specifications available that indicate that I can use the equipment mentioned in a general purpose application without hazardous classification.

I appreciate any assistance that is available.

Regards,
