Clay Brick Lattice Screen Wall Design

Does anyone know how to design a Brick screen wall that is erected with lattice configuration (i.e. the wall is roughly 25% open due to the brick layout. Or have any reference material that would help.

Is every other course continuous? Or is each course interupted?

Try it as unreinforced.

I think you would have to consider a two course strip spanning horiz. and acting as series of moment connections. Convert the moment into a stress and make sure it doesn't exceed the allowable shear stress in the mortar. I doubt it would span more than 6 to 9 feet depending on the wind load. I had a similar condition recently and I could not find any information on how to design. Let me know if you find any references on how to design.
