I am working with a municipality that does not currently have a program in place to clean their large diameter (18"-72")trunk sewers (ie. no proactive preventative maint. program). I am looking for resources or possible contacts to provide information on the basic aspects of a large diameter cleaning program. I would like to know:
1. What cleaning methods (jetting, bucketing, etc.) are used for various diameters?
2. Does the org. have its own cleaning crews for large diam pipe and does it have a formal cleaning program of preventative maintenance?
3. What is the cleaning crew size and how many crews are used? Does it take more than one crew for the largest pipes? What is the typical production rate?
4. How many miles in the system, how many are large diameter and what is the large diam size range?
5. With what frequency are non hot-spot pipes cleaned?
6. Is the program considered effective?
Thanks for any info!
