I have no experience for fireproofing application on leg support for vertical vessel .

My question is do we use clips for fireproofing . If so , why ? . Fireproofing is just type of coating apply to the surface ( what I think ) thats why I am wondering why we use it .

Also , How I know the size and number of clips we need ?

The clips or studs are attached to the steel surface, and to used to hold the reinforced mesh in place for the fireproofing, if needed. The spacing can be different per type of the material used for fireproofing.

Many E&C's have their own standards, and Process Industry Practices (PIP's) may contain some guidance.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand
