Good morning,

We are looking for a way to clone a project "quickly".
Let me explain, we have an assembly with 50 pieces containing "9999_" in the name and 250 pieces either from family or created specially for this project but not having a suffix.
When you use the cloning function with the naming rule "replace string" for example replacing 9999 with 8888 this does not work because parts not having this suffix cannot be cloned because the renaming operation does not work.
Do you have a solution or another method for this problem?

Thanks, have a good day. Sincerely

Try clonning multiple times, each one with one criteria, retain the parts who dont mach the criteria.

Thancks for your answer but this is not going to work because i have links between the different parts. If i exclude a child its parent will not be cloned. From what I know how to do but then there may be a parameter that escapes me

In cloning the parameters will remaing with the original retained files, so you will not lose any parameters. try to use first the create clone and in a second moment use edit exist assy

My structure is like this :

- 9999_Ass
- 9999_Cps
- prt (under 9999_Cps)
- 9999_Cps2
- prt2 (under 9999_Cps2)
- 9999_Cps3
- 9999_Cps4

I would like to clone all this assembly to another folder by replacing 9999 with 8888

When I hold the pieces prt it does not clone me the level above

Thanks it works, I understood, must first necessary to clone it as it is and then reclone to replace the number. But this is quite cumbersome wouldn't there be a way to do this in one go?

Another option would be to create a clone log file instead of performing the clone operation itself. You can then edit the clone log file as desired and use it as input for the clone operation.

Another option is select all table or selected column, copy to Excel, change and paste in this same place.
