is there a way if you have a cloud file
to transform them to a solid
i can transform them to iges or step
but when i import it like a program for aerodynamics it keeps saying
it not a solid
its not a volume model
what to do to solve this

have been sick sorry
yes lordraille

yes i mean cloud of points

and the use is to modify the solid in differant ways
like bending and so on
hope anyone can help me with this
i always get a empty solid
its like only discription of the geometry nothing else

You need the Digitized Shape Editor license to work with this type of data.

The object in the tree is called "geometrical element."

Check out CATBlog!

well we have that but still its stays a dead solid!
or are we doing some thing wrong then?!

You shoud use the DSE and quick surface reconstruction workbenches to create lines, 3d splines sections and surfaces out of the pointclouds, and then use those surfaces to replace faces of the solid were needed. TO import the point cloud you should do it from the DSE workbench as a ASCII file or txt or igs... using the import tool.

In the DSE workbench you can clean and work the clouds, and the QSR will help you creating geometry from the cloud.

also when you have the cloud properly cleaned, you can fit geometry to it using the fit to geometry tool from the freestyle workbench.

Hope it helps
