Which machine is better a Mori-Seiki MT-2500S/1500 or a Mazak Integrex 300IIISY?

Durability. Both machines can machine the same parts. The rapid traverse of the Mori slower but the jog feed rates are faster. The Integrex has more horsepower but do you need the extra horsepower? I want the machine that will have the least amount of downtime and the only way to collect that kind of info is through asking people that have used them.

You will be hard pressed there are not a large number of MTM users out there. The main area of use is in the medical industry and those people are pretty tight lipped about anything they do.

What type of parts and materials are you machining and how large of lot quantities? This will be most important in determining what features to check on both machines.

We have an Integrex 300IISY it is a pretty stout machine. Some of our waranty issues took some time to resolve, as in Mazak LA had to talk to Mazak KY who had to talk to Mazak Japan. But all in all it has been worth while. Plus Mazak has Mazatrol which is handy plus being able to use EIA.
