I am working on a big truck repair facility and at one end of the building they have a single bay that is open on three sides where they will repair CNG vehicles.

It appears to be NFPA #52.

Right now I am looking at Ord Hz Group II for the sprinkler but I am not sure if that is right or not. There may be other requirements, such as detection, but for right now I am mainly concerned about the sprinkler.

Where do I go to find the correct information?

NFPA 30A, which in turn references NFPA 13. NFPA 30A has no specific design requirements for the automatic sprinkler system in a CNG repair garage. NFPA 30A has several other requirements but nothing related to the design of the sprinkler system.

This makes sense because NFPA 13 has no specific requirements for parking garages, i.e., I can locate a vehicles adjacent to each other on the same parking row fueled by gasoline, diesel fuel, CNG, LNG, compressed H2, liquid H2, and lithium ion batteries and neither the IBC, IFC or NFPA 30A have any special fire sprinkler requirements. Other requirements like gas detection or mechanical ventilation MAY come into play but that would require further research AND a signed contract hiring me as your code consultant.[2thumbsup]

You do not state the type of vehicle. Are these vehicles tank trucks on which you would repair the tanks and accessories to the tanks or are these vehicle fueled by CNG.
