CO2 Laser Purchase / what brand / why

We are currently looking to puchase a new C02 laser and are cosidering three brands, Trumpf, Bystronic, and Mitshubishi. We currently have an 12 year Trumpf 4030. It has been a good machine, however replacement parts and maitenance costs have been high, and the Service could be much better. I am looking for some feedback from some users that may help in making a good decision on the next machine.

bystar w 4.4 kw will run forever. Replaceable blower bearings, simple, robust, proven.

Whatever you buy, if down the road costs are your concern, then stay away from any manufacturer who holds back parts/passwords/keys/whatever needed to service the thing. If they say they don't do this, get something written by a lawyer and have them sign it. They don't like to do this but they're in no position to loose machine sales.

I'm using a 4k mitsu, and it's been great so far and the service is impeccable. We went this route after researching the costs associated with repairs and replacements and felt this was our best option.

have you considered Prima Power lasers? they offer both CO2 and Fiber. Fast (5,511 IPM), low energy costs (mitz is high), no rack n pinion drives, and open on 3 sides so you can run odd parts and full size sheets without a shuttle table. And, no special foundation needed (save $$$). 2 year warranty, not bad...
