Truth and logic should be an important aspect of engineering.
Just check out all the info on refrigerants. Co2 is listed as a non issue for climate anything.

how do they define "benign" ? Certainly it interacts with all life (ok, all like except those microbes that live near lava vents). Certainly it is a key ingredient in many rocks (like limestone).

To me "benign" is something like gold ... it just sits there.

Remember that 14k years ago there was a land bridge that connected Alaska to Russia and Vermont was under 2 miles of ice. Weather comes and goes but the one thing we should be questioning is the age of the Grand Canyon. There was a lot of ice that melted in the last 14k years and that is likely what carved the canyon as every other estimate seems to assume the Colorado river flowed at similar rates to today.
