Does anyone know the status of the coal gasification plant built in North Dakota about 10-15 years ago? Is it still in operation? If so, how much gas is it now producing (per day or per year)? Is it subsidized or funded in any way by the Federal government?
Milton Beychok
mbeychok@home.com
<a href= Air Pollution Dispersion Modeling
Visit my website to learn about "Fundamentals of Stack Gas Dispersion", the most comprehensive book on air dispersion modeling of continuous, buoyant air pollution plumes. Look at this site.
When the original partners backed out ownership defaulted to the DOE. The doe sold it to Basin Electric Coop who operate it as Dakota Gasification. The original partners have to buy the output gas at the equivalent BTU rate of No. 2 fule oil.
