Coating of carbon fibre epoxy pipe line in sea necessary?
Is an extra anti-corrosion coating on a carbon fibre filament wound pipe line, used on a sea depth of about
3000 m, required? And if so, what would be a good material?

There is no fibre exposed right? The surfaces are all resin rich, almost pure epoxy. If so then I see no problems.
What will this be connected to? Remember C is very stable and you can get some serious galvanic interactions.

If as per EdStainless this C fiber(is it sure is C and not GRP?) filament wound may be correct on corrosion side have a look then on mechanical strength.Pipe itself (collapse pressure at 3000M may be enormous if internal pressure is low) and especially connections (cemented bell & spigot,laminated,couplings?)which may not resist to high flexural stresses.

What about degradation of properties owing to water ingress into the matrix? Will the pipe be long term tested to develop the regression data under seawater at 300 bar? It could be that properties are degraded such that it only becomes economical if the seawater can be kept out of the pipe wall and then a coating could become necessary.
