Hey Guys:

I am looking for a Coax-to-Fibre & Fibre-to-Coax Converter for a CCTV application (distance from the video camera to the video server is too long for coax...approximately 500m). I'm using a PELCO dome camera which uses either RG59/U, RG6/U or RG11/U coax, and an eithernet video server, Smartsight E-S1504E-T. Has anyone had any experiences with this or know of a mfg. of such a product?

Thanks in advance!

NVT makes a coax to twisted pair converter. We have used it for CCVT nd it works great. I am not sure about conversion to fiber, but they may have something.

Good luck.

HI there
try We have several of their VADT14130WDM & VADR14130 units across a 2 mile fibre link, they are not cheap but have audio and data capacity for camera controls as well as pal video.

IFS = International fibre systems, A GE company.

why dont u just use a balin and use twisted pair, liker a Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable and run it over 500 m ,much cheaper option.
