Coefficient of friction between steel and textiles

I know this topic has already been discussed in detail, however I can't find the information I require. I need to to know a value (if only very approximate) for the coefficient of friction between steel (preferably stainless steel or similar) and a fabric (cotton, denim, anything really). If anyone can help or knows of a website or book that has such specific information please reply.

Your criterion is really very broad. Firstly, your metal surface finish plays a large role, secondly, moisture content of the fabric will have a large influence, as well as any other process related implications. Sounds like you'll be down on the production line making a few measurements.

Thanks automatic 2, the steel can be assumed to be highly polished, the moisture content I am unsure about, however I am only really after a very approximate value. Has anyone any ideas?
