hello guys iam trying to model a cohesive element to represent the epoxy layer between an rc slab and CFRP sheet and when i used the orphan mesh to generate the zero-thickness solid layer the problem is how to select the element faces when i want to generate that mesh ( slab face and CFRP face together ?) because when i select the CFRP sheet only and run it the CFRP sheet remain at its original position and the slab deform as usual !! and how to use the tie constraints or shared nodes to tie that layer with the slab and CFRP sheet ??
another question is do i need to work on python or any other scripting languages to do that or i can do it all in cae modelling ?
please help me i really want a video if possible or a .cae file contain cohesive element modelling or anything helpful
i uploaded the .inp file to my work but as i told you the CFRP remain still while the slab deflect !!
Regards ...
