Hello,
Does anyone know of a design aid for designging cold form shear walls? I have a grocery store that they want to use the steel studs with plywood attached to resist the loads. I have looked at IBC2000 which has some shear values. However, I would just like something more to read so I'm confident in my approach. (Plus that talks about anchorage, uplift, etc.) I know Simpson has connectors for some of this stuff. I also was wondering when you want to use a blocked wall verses designing for metal straps.
Thanks
