cold water storage tank thermal insulation

can anybody tell me about thermal insulation under the bottom plate of a chilled water storage tank.

tank foundation is concrete ringwall, what kind of insulation we can use under the bottom plate?

How chilled are we talking about? If you are going for maximum thermal efficiency, you can add rigid insulation with sufficient compressive strength between the tank floor and the soil inside the ringwall. Your insulation contractor should have multiple options.
 
I've also seen insulation placed under a concrete slab that was to carry a smaller chilled-water tank. Seemed to work well.
 
There are a number of options - try Foam Glas, perlite concrete or silica insualtion - depends on your size and weight.

Thank you all,
The storage tank is for cooling water.
Diameter is 8 m and height is 9 m.
the water temp. is 15 C and ambient is 25 C.
the insulation is for thermal efficiency.
