1st i want to say is, don´t beat me.. i am noob but i need your help. I´m trying to find a "collet". I found many different kinds of collets but i need this one :


It´s real copy of one collet that i held in my hand some time ago. I don´t care about proportions for now. Just help me find this collet.
Sorry for my english. I don´t know if this thread should be here in this topic, it´s my first.

thanks but it´s helpless.. this collet can´t be found through MSC.. i tried at least 5times to find it.. :.(
 
You don't say what make of machine or collet chuck you are using. That would be a good starting point for your search.

I realise that your illustration is only an approximation but it seems to show a thread for a drawtube combined with a short taper and simple slits that don't make for parallel grip if the stock diameter varies much. It's not a type type I'm familiar with, but auto's aren't my field.
