collision detection or physical dynamics in assembly

Hi,

I have a clamp handle assembly of 4 parts

the cylinder
the shaft
the end knob I
the end knob II

I would like to move the parts as in reality.
At the moment I can move the end knob through the material of the cylinder.
I have tried the collision detection and it works, but only when the move component button is active.
I rebuild the assembly and then save and close it.
When I re-open the assembly it seems that it is not saved (I can move the end knob through the material of the cylinder).
What am I doing wrong?

Collision Detection isn't always on. It is just a single command. I'd look into Limit, Distance or Angle mates to control assy motion.
