Hi, I am doing finite element analysis using CATIA, but somehow, my color map (on right hand side of the screen ) is not showing the integer values of quantities like von misses stress etc, with the colors.
So please help me, I ll be highly grateful.

I haven't done much work with the FEA module but it sounds like you haven't run the calculation yet. Have you run the Compute All command?

Have you defined the material properties, meshing? How does the Finite Element branch look like, specially the sub branches?

yupp I have run everything, and I can see all the results, and the surfaces are colored to....
but to see that what color has what value, i have to open the properties of color map and see from that, the color map does not show the values with colors (at right hand side of screen)

Ok, I managed to make a test run and it went well. Got a problem first similar to what you describe but that was due to inconsistency in the analyze, I put the support and the load on the same point, so my first recommendation is to check how you have set up the analyze. When I got that fixed the analyze went well, with von mise color map and coloring on the surface and deformation.

There are some setting for the color map use RMB on the map and some others if you use RMB on the mesh. But nothing that would explain 0 values in the von mise.

Are you sure you don't get any information during the analyze or error messages?

I can run the steps I used and you can check if it is similar to your used steps:

Preface on part
1)Add material to surface
2)Add "Thin part attribute"
3)Publish the surface
4)Set the surface to "external view"

Analayze phase
5)Go to GSA module
6)Choose static analyze
7)Apply supports
8)Apply loads
9)Run analyze "compute all"
10)Turn on von mise stress imaging

This is video / display problems, are you using a certified workstation & the certified driver. If so is it set to use the catia settings?
