6 wires going into a single phase, duel voltage motor
T-1, T-2, T-3, T-4, T-5, T-6
Is there a standad color code or number code as to where those wires go.
I want to be able to check the windings without opening up the case to see where the wires go.
Is there a place on the net where the code will be?
Thanks

Does motor have nameplate information on it?
In most instances, the following information will help identify
a motor:
1. Frame designation
(actual frame size in which the motor is built).
2. Horsepower, speed, design and enclosure.
3. Voltage, frequency and number of phases of power supply.
4. Class of insulation and time rating.
5. Application

Hello Frankie,

With this 6 leads the T1-T2-T3&T4 Leads Belogs to the Run Winding and the wires T5 and T6 to the Starting Winding, the first 4 wires can be connected in Serial (Join t2 & t3 and t1 and t4 for connect the High voltage)or Shunt(Join t1&t3-Join t2&t4 and feed with Low Voltage by each join).
Once you perform the run winding connections you have to connect the run winding with the satrt winding and then the motor will run.
You need The Six wires in order to connect this motor dual voltage. In this type of motor you don´t need color code, this only is finded in 1 Phase Multispeed Motors.
