Dec 30, 2010 #3 msucog Civil/Environmental Feb 7, 2007 1,044 i consider it part of the structural steel special inspection. it's quite simple to look at and to check the correct grout is used anyways. plus, you will often find field slotted base plates and ad hoc welded bolts this way...
