Hello all,

It has been a while since I have tried this and I have been requested to combine or merge a small grouping of faces to support analysis on my NX CAD model. I want them to become one face and to lose edges from the originals. Picture 2 flats and a fillet. The result would be one face with no fillet edges.

Is there a way to easily do this on NX1919?

Thank you!

You can turn the faces into facet bodies, then make a best-fit B-surface out of them.

Are they different surfaces? Or is it a single surface that is cut up and fragmented?

If it is just a fragmented surface, you can use delete face or replace face to combine fragments.

They are different surfaces. As a simple example just 3 faces in a solid I wish to make into one with no edges between them.

Thanks all.

If removing the parameters is acceptable then try OPTIMIZE FACE and select all the faces with a rectangle

Analysis in NX simulation application ?
If yes, that application has tools to do exactly this.

try using the synch tools, replace face. This may merge the faces together.
