Hi There,
I'm wondering if anyone knows about any issued that would arise from using both hot rolled and cold formed steel members together. Example if Hot rolled sections were used for Purlins and Girts and Cold Formed was used for eave Strut. Or if hot rolled was used for bracing and clips and cold formed was used for girts, purlins, eave. Is there any issues that arise from mixing like this?

It is common to use cold formed purlins and girts, and hot rolled for everything else.

All bolted. Ok yes my plan is to use cold form for eave, girts, and purlins, and then hot roll for clips and bracing. Thanks

The eave strut is generally hot rolled as well, as it can be a heavily loaded compression member.
