I've been working on the same assembly for a while now. About an hour ago, I went to move one of the parts with the 'Move Part' command. But, the button was greyed out and didn't work.

I know it greys out when all the parts in the assembly are fully constrained. I have a few that aren't, so it should be useable.

Anybody run into this before? Is it a bug, or is there a way to make it work again?

I'm using SE v11 with the first 4 patches.

Thanks,
Chris

When using SE V11 (we are now on V14) we would sometimes have situations where commands "disappeared" or things weren't working as expected. Usually had to do a reboot and then things were bacvk to normal.

That's happened to me before too. Entire toolbars would go into hiding. Unfortunately, a reboot didn't solve it this time.

Shortly after I posted, I did find a solution. I forgot all about this thread until the notifier e-mailed me!

Anyway, here's how I got the command to un-grey:

It appears as if 'Move' can only be used if there aren't any parts with conflicting relationships in the assembly. If it's greyed out, click the 'ToDo List' button and scroll through the list that pops up. If you find something about "conflicting relationships", correct the offending relationship. Repeat until you've got them all and the 'Move' button should switch back to normal.
