We are designing the HVAC for a Commercail Laundry Room in a student apartment building. There will be 16 commercial gas dryers each exhausting 220 cfm. My question is how much make up air does the room require considering diversification of dryer usage?

By ASHRAE or BOCA-93 code (still current code as per our state building code), all you need for make-up air is 15 cfm per person. So we could say 15 cfm * 16 people or 240 cfm for your application.

I understand that could mess up room & maybe building pressure. Could you clarify how the exhaust will work, what borders the room, and what make-up might be available nearby (including from the street)?
