I need to cover the following items in a commissioning procedure and could use some help as to EASILY located reference (either online or Library). The project is an onshore and offshore pipeline/pumping station. Onshore is impressed current and offshore is galvanic anodes. In the list below, 1 through 5 are procedures. The capitalized items are questions and the lowercase are what I believe to be true. I'm on unfamiliar ground here so any help would be appreciated.

1) Testing for pipeline isolation IS THIS THE SAME AS A CONTINUITY TEST? MORE OR LESS A DIRECT CURRENT VOLTAGE GRADIENT SURVEY (DCVG) AND/OR PIPE-TO-SOIL POTENTIAL SURVEY??

2) Natural Potential survey I think have the basics for this one - have the system turned off for 2-3 days (or prior to energizing before the pipe is polarized) and measure the pipe-to-soil potential.

3) Energize cathodic protection hardware IS THIS MORE THAN THE RECTIFIER AND ASSOCIATED RECTIFIER CIRCUITRY??

4) Full ON/OFF potential survey The basics: a) OFF take measurements immediately after turning off the current source while the pipe is still polarized (lower IR drop) b) ON take measurements with the current source back on and operating continuously

5) Interference Testing The basics: the affect of stray current either from or to 'foreign' metal structures in the vicinty regardless of whether these structures are protected or not found through pipe-to-soil potential measurement.

6) Pipeline Polarization Requirement NOT SURE WHAT IS REQUIRED HERE. POLARIZATION IS THE CHANGE IN PIPE TO SOIL POTENTIAL CAUSED BY THE FLOW OF DC CURRENT BETWEEN AN ELECTROLYTE AND THE PIPE'S STEEL SURFACE.

7) Commissioning Time Schedule NOT REALLY SURE HOW LONG!?

8) Format of a commissioning report
