Advances in material attributes, and construction features of Direct Current Motors have
evolved over many decades. The slow... steady decline of D.C. motor applications has also
marked a trend toward fewer articles written about these types of machines.

The PDF file attachment is photo-copied printed literature from a General Electric publication
reprinted from October and December, 1951, and January and February 1952, Issues of
RAILWAY MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEER.

While the emphasis of the article(s) pertain to railway equipment of a time period 64 some years ago,
the wisdom contained is very much still useful today in troubleshooting, and maintaining D.C. motors.
I’d even gingerly say the tone, or style of writing and the illustrations contained exceed what one would
find in a twenty-first century EASA article.

I tried to open the file and received a msg. box stating "Duplicate headers received from server" might be on my end, but
just a heads up in case the link is flaky.

Thank you Chuck. I did test the link after posting it, and it opened correctly for me.
If there's a continuing issue for others in getting it to open, I'll have to re-post it
in some other fashion.

I think it's an issue with the how far particular browsers will tolerate server misbehaviour.

I get the same problem when I try to open the document using Chrome, but can read it if I switch to Edge.

I can confirm that, I was using Chrome on first attempt read your post and tried Firefox. There was no problem with Firefox, thats interesting!. Thanks Zeusfaber,and Thanks for the link John, A good read.
