Compare steel shaft st50-1 with another

we used the steel shaft with ST 50-1 for ten years in agitator application. And now want to change a new one.

i would like to use new for 2-3 month.Can i downgrade to use it in short or not (low price)? and what kind of steel grade ?

There is not enough information to answer this question. As a general rule, I never recommend or allow downgrading of a material for a given application unless the downgraded properties have no bearing on performance in the intended application (this seldom is the case), or if a design review approves use of the lower quality material for the application.
