Hello....
I'm currently modeling a sandwich panel. However i have started using SAP2000 sometime ago before i realised that it is only for non-composite structures. So now actually thinking of using ABAQUS.
Fortunately with the help of this forum, i managed to get an idea to model a composite in SAP2000 using body constraints. If i mesh my panel fine enough, it seems that the 'delamination' effect between the different layers could be minimised.
Just wondering if the formulation in SAP2000 allows me to model a sandwich panel this way? And if i can't do this, in what way does the FE formulation in ABAQUS and SAP2000 differ that forbids me to do this?
Any recommendations on any site that provide helpful information on this?
thank you very much.
