Can anyone provide the names of any competitive American or Canadian head suppliers for mild steel up to 1" thickness and 48" to 144" diameter. Most of the heads we use come from Trinity/Brighton.

There are a couple of head manufacturers in the Fort Worth area- Fort Worth F&D Head and Baker tank heads, if I remember correctly. Orange County Metal Works/ Intertech in CA.

Orange County hasn't been as competitively priced as others, in the past. I will check out Fort Worth and Baker. Thanks!

I had hoped for more responses, but I guess others on this forum are afraid of sharing their best sources with potential competitors.

Looking through old brochures here, I see Enerfab in Ohio, B&W in Alabama. I don't know how up-to-date this info is, though.

I know that it is probably too late, but try Prescor Tank Heads in OK, Uni-Form Components in Houston

sbush,
I don't think it's that members don't want to share their sources but rather that the number of head manufacturers is
not as great as it used to be.

RLS

We mainly use Trinity/Brighton even though B&W is local as they are limited on thickness and diamters they can handle.

Thanks for the good responses. I've invited prices from the ones that were new to me. So far, our usual suppliers, Trinity/Brighton and Conrex, remain the most competitive on heads greater than 96" diameter.

I believe Lostsailor is right. Trinity has bought up a lot of the old companies.

Nonetheless, I will keep tracking this forum for any new suggestions.

Be so kind to send a spec to Mr Hawkins-GFF. He can help you with some imports... only if american currency does not keep sinking. He has a supplier in Romania.
