Hi

This is probaly a very broad or general question. Can people recommend any resources (books, articles, etc) on this subject, if any? Any advice?

How to become a good commissioning/completion (mainly control, process and electrical) engineer?

All best commissioning engineers I have worked with seem to have a very good good "macro" perspective (overall system), but also have no problems going into the spesifc details of a system.

Thanks

Well, there you go.

My suggestions are:

Learn how to think critically.

Learn how to understand processes in terms of fundamental principles.

Learn how to think about what could happen, not what is supposed to happen.
