I am having trouble creating the shape cut out i want. I have basically a semi circle cutout of a solid part but on the curved edge of that part i need a lip to divide the two halves. I tried creating it with 3 separate sketches/cuts but I cant get them to align properly. I had to use 3 separate cuts because there is the divider "shelf or lip" that fits in the groove in the cam. (see pictures)

and the cam that fits inside for reference

wire frame with different cuts outlined:

there has got to be a better way to do this i am just missing it...suggestions?

Maybe you can post a shot of your feature tree? That will give us something to go off, since we'll be able to see how you got where you are.

Create Reference Planes (before the cuts) and use those for alignment.
