Any idea on how to suppress a component array via expressions ?

if you go to edit --> feature --> suppress by expression, then you can pick the features you want to suppress which will allow you to turn the feature on by changing the expression between 1 and 0. Look at how the feature is displayed in the part navigator once it has been suppressed.

see attached model.

I'm talking about "component" array, is there any feature gathering them into NX7.5??

if you select all the components, right click on them in the ANT and select suppression, you can then say always suppressed, or even suppress by expression.

And if you do not know in advance how many components will be part of the array?..

Assemblies --> components --> Edit component array will display a list of all the arrays and if you click one, it will highlight all the parts in the array. The suppess tick nox only suppresses the contraints. Other than that, I can't provide any more information. May JRB will be a little more useful than me.

Found it !

Create a boolean expression "a" that control the suppression of the array template
Then modify the expression that controls the array size:
If a = false => array_size = 1 (the template only)

No matter how many components the array creates, it is always fully controlled :)

Well that's one approach. But in the future there may be something a bit more direct.

Just out of interest, how do select an array template to assign an expression to?
