Component Cut Out leaves floating pieces

I'm using the Component Operations> Cut Out to remove areas from a part that intersects with other parts. Several of these are conical sections and so they leave ellipses in the part being cut out. They're just floating there and I would prefer to remove them rather then leave them floating. There's got to be a simple way to do this but I'm not seeing it.
