Hi All,

I have a question about sequencing. I have a very large assembly and would like to apply sequencing to just a part of it. I know it is possible to show/hide components in a view (pre-defined or custom). For example, I defined a view top_cooling, showing just the cooling components. Is it possible to show/hide components in the sequence view? Context control is not available in sequencing and if I define a view before starting sequencing, sequencing replaces it by it's own view.

Thanks in advance!

I am using NX 6.0.4

For Assembly Sequencing, since it creates and saves it's own dedicated 'Sequence View', the best tool for doing what you want would be 'Visible in View'. What you do is Move the Components which you would like to NOT see while in the Sequence task to their own layer, which you leave set to visible. Now enter the Sequence task (and you can already have a sequence defined) and go to...

Format -> Visible in View...

...and when the first dialog comes up hit OK, then in the second dialog select the layer where you placed those Components and select the 'Invisible' button at the bottom of the dialog and then hit OK. Now when you leave the Sequence task, the Components will be visible, but when you go back into Sequencing the Components will automatically be removed from the display.
