Hello,

Does anyone know of any design guides for composite steel and concrete column design to Eurocode 4? Or can someone please state the checks required?

Dear Charlie95

The following document ( free of charge ) may help to get the concept;

I will suggest you to get and look to the following books;

- Composite Structures according to Eurocode 4 Worked Examples ( by Darko Dujmovic, Boris Androic, Ivan Lukacevic )
- Design of joints in steel and composite structures _ Eurocode 3 ( by Jean-Pierre Jaspart )
- Designer's guide to TO EUROCODE 4 (ICE publishing , by ANDROGER P. JOHNSON )

You deserve two BPS for that posting...

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?

Thank you DIK !! Not sure what BPS stands for ( big pink star , peanut butter sandwich ?? ) but i owe a cold beer to you ..

[cheers]

A peanut butter sandwich, only if you are dyslexic...

Corus also had a free guide CT26 that if you can track it down would be useful. It was based on the previous version of EC4 so there will be some changes but you can work your way through it irrespective and a lot of the theory explanations are still valid.
