Hi,
I just had a question regarding modeling of composites if anyone has done that. I have to go through the documentation in detail on this but I just wanted to get some specific points to look up in the doc. I have a composite plate with a hole- 9 layers. I want to apply pressure loading on it. That analysis is straightforward but before that I want to apply temperature loading on it in the first step. The temperature will generate some stresses and then apply pressure. Does abaqus have special elements for modeling composites? or do regular elements work with appropriate matl props assigned? and is there a coupled element for this analysis that I can look up?
Thanks
Sincerely
Amar
